报告人简介：朱晓夏，现任北京师范大学珠海校区教授。南开大学化学系毕业，后获加拿大麦吉尔大学（McGill University）博士学位，曾任蒙特利尔大学教授、生物医用高分子材料方面的Canada Research Chair。在降解性高分子、水凝胶、药物缓释和牙科材料有创新性研究，专注于利用天然化合物通过绿色化学方法制备新型高分子材料，发表学术论文300多篇，有多项国内外专利。他曾获得加拿大化学会高分子科学与工程奖。

报告内容摘要：Polymeric materials made from natural compounds can improve the biocompatibility of biomaterials. Natural compounds such as bile acids can be used in the design and preparation of a variety of new polymers after chemical modifications. These materials range from self-healing hydrogels, degradable elastomers with shape-memory properties to hard dental restauration composites. They have shown promising potential for biomedical and pharmaceutical applications. We have also adopted green chemistry approaches in the synthesis and modification of polymers using enzymes as catalysts.
