Lecture: Blow-up method of planar polynomial differential systems

Lecturer: Brigita Fer?ec(Researcher,PhD Supervisor),University of Maribor

Time: 16:00-18:00, Sept. 28th(Saturday)

Venue: C302, Minglilou Building

Bio:Brigita Fer?ec is a researcher at the Faculty of Energy Technology of University and the Faculty of Natural Science and Mathematics of University of Maribor. She is also a researcher at the Center for Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics. She received her Master degree in 2009 and her PhD in 2013 at University of Maribor. Her Supervisor for PhD was Prof. Valery Romanovskij and the topic was qualitative analysis of systems of ordinary differential equations. The fields of her research are differential equations and dynamical systems.

Abstract:I shall discuss an effective method for proving integrability of the resonant saddles. The method is based on the use of a blow-up transformation and solving the recurrence differential equations using induction. Using this method some open integrability problems for certain resonant saddles are solved.
