On April 17^th, Southwest Petroleum University (SWPU) held the 46^thSpring Track and Field Sports Meet.

At the opening ceremony, the national flag guards and the athletes' teams entered the playground in proper order. Each team showed their unique style and spirit.

Athlete representative He Yixu and referee representative Yang Guang took the oath respectively.

After the opening ceremony, the competitions began: 100-meter race for Men and Women, long-distance race of 3,000 meters and 5,000 meters, 4×100 relay, long jump, high jump... Competitions were held one after another.

There are 20 events in the sports meet, including 10 events in Group A and Group B for male students and 10 counterparts for female students.

After the intense competitions for a whole day, School of Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering, School of Electrical Engineering and Information, School of Geosciences won the top three men's group respectively.

Four SWPU records have been broken during the sport meet: Wang Ruqin from School of Electrical Engineering and Information broke the men's 5,000m record set by himself in 2021; Wang Zhuoxian from School of Electrical Engineering and Information broke the men's shot put record; Li Tongtong from School of Foreign languages broke the women's 3,000m record, and Wang Yujie from School of Chemical Engineering set a new record for women's long jump.(Zhang Youdan)
