SWPU Professor Wu Xinxing Won 2020 Basic Mathematics Award

By School of Sciences, Updated: 2021-02-22

Recently, SWPU Professor Wu Xinxing, whose research on Pseudo-Orbit Tracking Property of Topological Dynamical System, won the 3rd prize of 2020 Basic Mathematics Awards granted by Sichuan Mathematical Society.

Professor Wu Xinxing is mainly engaged in the research of topological dynamical systems. His research thoroughly clarifies the definition of strong-and-weak relations among seven tracking properties for more than 30 years, unveils the relationship between the equivalent characterizations and mathematical characteristics, reveals the inner link, and therefore answers the question raised by Polish young scientist P. Oprocha, Mathematics Committee member of Polish Academy of Sciences, editor of three SCI journals IJBC, CPAA and AiDE. Wu’s research results were quoted Wu-Oprocha-Chen equivalence, and have been cited many times by top journals such as Journal of Functional Analysis, Journal of Differential Equations, Ergodic Theory and Dynamical Systems, Israel Journal of Mathematics, etc.
