On March 19^th, the Education Delegation from Homyel, Belarus visited Southwest Petroleum University (hereinafter referred to as SWPU). Vice President Zhou Ying received them and they had a discussion and exchange on promoting educational cooperation between both sides.

Zhou Ying Introduced the current disciplines and the cultivation of overseas students. He stated that Southwest Petroleum University had a very good foundation of cooperation with Belarus and hoped to deepen exchanges through this visit. He looked forward to expanding cooperation between both sides in a broader and more diverse way.

Smirnov Ruslan Ivanovic, Director of the Education Department of Homyel State Executive Committee, expressed gratitude for the warm reception and recognized SWPU strengths. He said that the oil industry in Homyel is developing well, and one of the two oil universities is located here, therefore it is fairly possible for both sides to carry out exchange and cooperation in the field of oil science in the future. He said that the delegation is very interested in the majors of SWPU, and Homyel urgently needs Chinese talents. This visit is aimed at finding long-term and strategic partners, and he hopes that both sides can deepen exchange, and achieve practical cooperation.

Dai Lei, Director of SWPU International Cooperation and Exchange Office, introduced the enrollment and cultivation of international students in SWPU, as well as the achievements and experiences in setting up preparatory bases overseas. She hopes both sides can build an exchange platform, so as to tap into the cooperation potentials, and to achieve diversified cooperation, openness and win-win.
