Our University Teachers and Students Majoring in Industrial Design Win the German iF Design Talent Award

The results of 2020 German iF Design Design competition were announced recently. Our teachers and students majoring in industrial design won the German iF Design Talent Award.

The organizing committee received more than 10,000 entries from 56 countries around the world, among which 112 were awarded. The "Eco-woven Shoes" jointly designed by Associate Professor Zhang Xuwei and students Ma Ziyu, Bai Xuran, Song Xingyan and Yang Yuqing majoring in industrial design in our university won the award, which was the first time for our university to win this award. The winning works will participate in global travelling exhibitions.

The competition with fierce competition is available for young designers from all over the world.

Founded in 1953, the iF Design Talent Award is one of the internationally recognized top global industrial design awards. It is also known as the world's three major design awards along with Red Dot Award in Germany and International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) from America. It is known as the "Oscar" in the design industry. The award is held annually by iF Industrie Forum Design of Hannover, the oldest industrial design agency in Germany.
