Halliburton Donates 20 Sets of GOHFER Fracture Modeling Software to SWPU


On the morning of August 19th, Halliburton donated 20 sets of GOHFER fracture modeling software, valued at?30 million, to Southwest Petroleum University. Both sides signed a donation agreement and a donation ceremony was held.

Zeng Ren, President of Halliburton China, and Andy Benson, Global Chief Technical Advisor, and other 2 people visited Southwest Petroleum University and held talks with SWPU President Guo Jianchun. Both sides attended the donation ceremony and delivered speeches.

Guo Jianchun thanked Halliburton for donating GOHFER fracture modeling software to the university. He said SWPU would deepen its cooperation with Halliburton in many fields, including scientific research, talent training and social charity, and explore jointly new technologies in the energy industry.

Zeng Ren expressed hopes in expanding the school-enterprise cooperation through this donation and thereby starting a new chapter of school-enterprise cooperation.

GOHFER fracture modeling software incorporates comprehensiveness, precision and openness. It can provide strong support for the teaching and research of hydraulic fracturing in the university, and an advanced practical platform for students, as well as laying a solid foundation for their future careers.
